Sir Hemrick Tuldoor
Mayor of the town of Twin Rivers Sir Hemrick Tuldoor (also known as Hemrick the Fair Handed.) is perhaps the only member of the social elite in the Ravenmarch that can be trusted. Because of this he is also the least wealthy of them all and is generally regarded by the upper crust as a pretender and sometimes even a peasant. He maintains a seat on the Council of Five due to the fact that he is popular among the lower classes and the council uses this to their advantage by having Sir Hemrick be their liaison to the masses, a duty he completely distains. Sir Hemrick however uses his position on the council to insure that the humble folk of the Ravenmarch are not taken advantage of or mistreated as best he can. He is perhaps the only true voice of the people on the Council of Five.
Sir Hemrick was raised as a commoner in the town of Twin Rivers. His father was the local magistrate and very popular among the people of the small community. When he was twenty Sir Hemrick helped defend the town from a Bugbear attack. During the attack he lost his left hand yet continued to defend a small cottage where women and children were hiding. Clerics were unable to heal his hand and thus he was given the nickname, Hemrick the Fair Handed.
Upon his father’s death Sir Hemrick was unanimously elected by the people to be the mayor and magistrate of Twin Rivers. He lives in a comfortable yet humble house in the center of town that is attached to the village hall. He maintains daily duties in the village hall and is willing to meet with any of his citizens to discuss whatever grievance or trouble they are having. The first and third day of the week he also holds regular court hours to preside over trials ranging from land disputes, theft and the occasional violent crime.
