Talona (pronounced tah-LOW-nah), the Lady of Poison, Mistress of Disease, and Mother of All Plagues is the goddess of poison, disease and plague. Talona is often depicted as an old crone who brings misfortune and death. On the other hand she is sometimes also depicted as a beautiful and innocent looking woman.
Talona’s followers scarre or tattoo themselves in horrible ways. They typically wear ragged gray-green robes and are expected to go about quietly and seek out new diseases. Her Plague Priests generally practice the arts of necromancy however this is not always true. There are no clerics associated with Talona.
Followers of Talona experienced pain as if it were pleasure. They believed death is more powerful than life, her worshipers follow the dictum: Work in her name and let your doings be subtle or spectacular.
